About Minslow Partners
Minslow Partners is a holding company that acquires and operates established, profitable small businesses. We focus on owner-operated companies in essential industries where operational expertise—not financial engineering—drives long-term value.
Background
I built the largest privately-owned specialist pipeline services company in Africa. At 55, I walked away from it. My kids were 9 and 12, and South Africa's trajectory meant I had to choose between business success and their future. I chose them. We moved to the US and started over.
What "operators who invest" means
Most buyers are capital allocators first. They raise money, deploy it, optimize for returns, and exit. Operations are something they hire for.
I'm the opposite. I've spent my career building and running businesses—not investing in them from a distance. Minslow exists so I can do what I've always done: operate businesses and build them for the long term.
The capital is mine. The operational responsibility is mine. The timeline is mine.
Why Minslow exists
After relocating to the US, I needed to rebuild. I could have started from scratch again, but I've already done that. I'd rather acquire something that works and make it better.
Minslow is the vehicle for that. It's not a fund. It's not a platform for rolling up industries. It's a holding company for businesses I want to own and run personally.
How I operate
I take operational responsibility from day one. I don't install management teams and check in quarterly. I work in the business until I understand it completely, then build systems that let it run without depending on me for every decision.
I protect jobs. I maintain customer relationships. I make decisions for 10-year outcomes, not 3-year exits.
